The Child Wellbeing Clinic

Private Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service

About

Welcome to The Child Wellbeing Clinic, a team of leading experts dedicated to the assessment and treatment of child and adolescent mental health difficulties and neurodevelopmental conditions.

We understand how distressing it can be when a young person experiences mental health challenges. Families often feel lost, unsure of where to turn—faced with long NHS waiting lists and private services that may not adhere to rigorous clinical standards.

At The Child Wellbeing Clinic, we provide high-quality, bespoke assessments and interventions informed by the latest research and aligned with national clinical guidelines.

Our ethos is simple: every family deserves expert-led mental healthcare that is personalised and evidence-based, allowing us to achieve positive change in the shortest possible timescale.

How We Work

  • We understand that it can be challenging to determine the right assessment or treatment for your child. To help guide you, we offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation before any appointments are arranged. This call allows us to discuss your concerns, answer any questions, and recommend the most suitable next steps.

  • A thorough assessment is the foundation of effective mental health care. We provide comprehensive evaluations for a wide range of mental health conditions and neurodevelopmental disorders, ensuring that each child receives an accurate diagnosis and a personalised treatment plan. Our assessments are informed by the latest research and national guidelines.

  • Following the assessment, we offer a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Personalised Individual Parent Training (PIPT), Mentalization-based Therapy (MBT), EMDR and Family Therapy, and, where appropriate, medication management. Each intervention is tailored to the needs and goals of the child and their family.

At The C.W. Clinic we only offer therapies that research has shown to be effective. All of our treatment packages are also consistent with national clinical guidelines.

  • We offer flexible appointment options, including in-person sessions at our London clinics and online consultations. Our goal is to provide accessible and convenient care that fits around your family’s needs.

    Our clinic locations are:

    • 2 Harley Street, London, W1G 9PA

    • 35 Great James Street, London, WC1N 3HB
